I woke up early and went out to my wife’s garden. I saw my cactus and realized that I totally forgot about it. This means that I bought the perfect plant for me. I went to the living room and sat on my chair. I did not turn on the TV or radio, I just sat there for a long time then I began to feel very lonely. I though that this is what Rami feels everyday at home. His phone will ring and he hopes that it is one of his children asking him if they could drop by but it is just a person who dialed the wrong number.

I called Rami but there was no answer, it is too early for him. I went back to the bedroom and embraced my sleeping wife. I tried to sleep again but I could not. When my wife woke up she asked me what was troubling me I said that I just had a bad dream. She made breakfast and we played chess. She does not know how to play chess and made rules of her own. Her pawns were immune to all my pieces and just kept eating away. It was the best chess game I ever played. I

phoned Rami again but there was still no answer. Maybe he is with his other friends or in a neighbor’s house watching sports and making spaghetti rice. Or maybe he is with one of his children who realize that he misses his father. I spent the whole day at home with my wife and watched Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
